Check the file is ready
Unlocked files are marked in the list along with their page count. Anything that was not protected in the first place is flagged, since there is nothing to remove.
Remove and download

Frequently asked questions
Can this remove a password I do not know?
No. It needs the correct password to decrypt the document, exactly as any PDF reader does. There is no brute forcing, no guessing and no recovery — those are not features of this tool by design.
Is my password sent anywhere?
No. It is typed into your browser, used there to decrypt the file, and discarded when you leave the page. There is no server involved at any point, so there is nothing to log or leak.
Does anything get lost when the password is removed?
Pages, text, images, page order and the document's title and author all carry across unchanged. Existing bookmarks are not preserved, which is an honest limitation of removing encryption in the browser rather than on a server.
Will restrictions like no-printing be removed too?
Yes. Permissions live inside the encryption dictionary, so removing the encryption removes them. The unlocked copy can be printed, copied and edited normally.
Can I unlock several PDFs at once?
Yes. Add up to 30 files, enter each password when prompted, and download the unlocked copies together as a ZIP.
Is this legal?
Removing protection from a document you own or are authorised to access is normal file management. Circumventing protection on someone else's document is not, and this tool cannot help with that anyway, since it needs the password.
